Analysis of Autoguide Session :: 2004-09-20
I have posted an article that will eventually become a guide on Webcam autoguiding. My first trial with the Webcam indicate pretty massive errors in RA and DEC but the images taken during the session look pretty ok. My precious William Optics Megrez is now for sale due to an upgrade to the Megrez Triplet Flourite APO. This scope is a great wide-field telescope with very nice build quality (as all William Optics Telescopes) as well as a very high optical quality. The telescope is an Achromatic Refractor but it show very little color compared to other achromatic scopes I have tried. Please contact me if you are interested. You can read more about the telescope on my Megrez review page. Aurora picture :: 2004-07-28
While trying to find the comet C/2003 K4 (LINEAR) I noticed a thin glowing band across the sky. I was stumbled and first thought it was a very strange cloud but then understod that it was the northern lights. I didnt think it would be possible to spot when it is still so light outside due my northern location. Have a look at the pretty bad, but still, first pictures for the season.
